During April, we will be making various changes to our routes and timetables due to the recent bus network changes around the Bournemouth and Poole conurbation.
Following the announcement of Yellow Buses network restructure, we will be introducing the 20, R4 and R5 to our network. We will also be making a minor route change to the current morebus 32.
Morebus has been successful in the recent council tender of the route 20. The 20 encompasses both the Poole section of the current Yellow Buses D1 (via Park Gates, Canford Cliffs and Westbourne), and the Bournemouth to Castlepoint section of the current Yellow Buses C1 (via Charminster and Moordown). This Monday to Saturday service will start from Monday 9th April and will operate a different timetable to what is currently running.
The 20 will leave from Stand N in Poole Bus Station.
The Borough of Poole have asked us to alter the routing of the 32 in the Oakdale area. The 32 will now turn right from Hennings Park Road onto Dorchester Road, left on Foxholes Road, left onto Dale Valley Road, then Johnston Road, Darby's Lane before returning to the Oakdale traffic lights.
The 32 will no longer operate via Vicarage Road or Christopher Crescent. At the traffic lights instead of continuining straight across, the 32 will now just turn right into Wimborne Road. This will be the same in the reverse direction.
As previously announced, we will be taking on these routes from Yellow Buses in their current form and on their current timetable. These routes will operate until the end of May when they will be merged into the current morebus route 14.
Note: Roadworks taking place until 10th April will require the R5 to perform a partial diversion. More information can be found here.
