Pete McColl - morebus winner

Our annual employee awards night A Night with the Stars took place last Saturday night at the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton. Hosted by Managing Director, Andrew Wickham, and Wave 105 DJ, Rick Jackson, we celebrated all of our colleagues who have achieved long service with us in 2016, those who retired last year and all of our employees of the month.

We are extremely pleased to announce that the morebus Employee of the Year is Pete McColl.

Praised for his sheer determination and passion, Pete was presented with his award by managing director Andrew Wickham.

Pete started working with Wilts & Dorset as a driver in September 1989 and after eight years of service, he transferred to the engineering department in Poole as a cleaner. He quickly settled into his new position and was immediately recognised as an employee that was always looking to improve his performance and that of those around him. As a result of this he was promoted to a nightshift charge hand in August 1999.

He continued to demonstrate the qualities and commitment of an excellent employee and he was promoted again in May 2004 to be the Fleet Services Supervisor a position he currently holds today.

2016 has been a particularly challenging year for him and his team with many internal changes taking place. He has taken these changes in his stride and has risen to every challenge proving himself to be invaluable. His dedication and willingness to embrace change has been fundamental to the continued success of the engineering department.

In recognition of his efforts, Pete received £500 worth of vouchers and a framed certificate.
